“See, I do hold your hand sometimes!”
Paul and Kellie don’t do lovey-dovey in the traditional sense of the phrase (despite best Paul’s best efforts during the shoot). When I met up with them for their pre-wedding shoot, our time was mostly spent chasing chickens through a field, throwing balls for the dogs and checking on the horses.
Even their engagement was a little unorthodox. It was New Years Eve, and after some preparation and discussion, it was decided that they’d rather stay in than go out. A small box containing a ring narrowly missed Kellie’s head.
“Here, you might as well have this then”
The angels sang, the room flooded with light, and they were engaged…
But it just goes to show that weddings aren’t about hearts and flowers. They’re about people and love. And possibly a little bit about alcohol.
“The Ying to my Yang” is how Kellie put it.
They get married in a couple of weeks, and I can’t wait…
